Superhuman pricing and the real cost of Superhuman email per member
Superhuman Mail costs 30 USD per member a month on Starter, or 300 USD a year, and 40 USD a month on Business, or 396 USD a year, which works out to about 25 USD and 33 USD a month. Enterprise is priced by quote. There is no free plan for Mail: the free and Pro tiers of the wider Superhuman suite cover Grammarly, Docs and Go, not email. A team of five on yearly Business pays about 165 USD a month.

Superhuman pricing plans for Mail
Prices below come from the Superhuman help center and plans page in October 2026. Every plan is charged per member, so multiply by the number of people who need the app.
| Plan | Billed monthly, per member | Billed yearly, per member | What the plan adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 30 USD a month | 300 USD a year, about 25 USD a month | Superhuman Mail, most Superhuman AI features, calendar and share availability, shared conversations and team comments |
| Business | 40 USD a month | 396 USD a year, about 33 USD a month | Everything in Starter plus Auto Drafts, Ask AI, Custom Auto Labels, HubSpot and Salesforce, Recent Opens feed |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Everything in Business plus SSO, advanced security and admin controls, dedicated support |
The Superhuman plans page now sells Mail inside a suite with Grammarly, Superhuman Docs and the Go assistant. On that page Mail appears in Business and Enterprise only, while the Free and Pro suite plans, about 12 USD a month billed yearly for Pro, do not include email at all. If you see a Pro price that looks too cheap for an email client, that is why.
How much is Superhuman per month for one person?
For one person, Superhuman costs 30 USD a month on Starter billed monthly, or 25 USD a month if you pay 300 USD for the year. If you want Auto Drafts, the feature that writes replies before you open an email, you need Business, which is 40 USD a month or 33 USD a month billed yearly.
What a team pays for Superhuman
Per-member pricing is easy to read and easy to underestimate. The second seat costs as much as the first, and so does the assistant who only triages your inbox. Here is what common team sizes pay at list price on yearly billing.
| Team size | Starter, yearly | Business, yearly | Business, monthly |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 person | 25 USD a month | 33 USD a month | 40 USD a month |
| Founder and assistant | 50 USD a month | 66 USD a month | 80 USD a month |
| 5 people | 125 USD a month | 165 USD a month | 200 USD a month |
| 10 people | 250 USD a month | 330 USD a month | 400 USD a month |
| 25 people | 625 USD a month | 825 USD a month | 1,000 USD a month |
On top of that, Superhuman is a client that sits on top of a mailbox, so each person still needs a paid Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 account. Superhuman does not replace that cost.
Costs that are easy to miss
The sticker price is only part of the bill. Before you sign up a team, check these four things.
- Auto drafting is a Business feature. Starter users write with AI help, but the drafts that are ready before you open a thread come with Business. Most buyers who choose Superhuman for AI end up on the higher plan.
- The suite bundle. Business includes Grammarly, Docs and Go. That is good value if your team would buy Grammarly anyway and money spent on unused tools if you only want email.
- Assistants pay full price. An executive assistant who works in your inbox needs a seat of their own.
- Onboarding time. Superhuman is built around keyboard shortcuts, and most people need a week or two to get fast. That is time, not money, but it is real for a busy team.
Is Superhuman worth the price?
Superhuman is worth its price for people who answer a lot of email themselves and want the fastest app to do it in. For a founder, investor or salesperson who spends three hours a day in the inbox, saving even ten minutes a day covers the seat many times over. The keyboard shortcuts, split inbox, reminders and read statuses are polished, and Business adds CRM records next to each thread.
It is harder to justify in three cases. If you are happy with Gmail or Outlook, you pay mainly for a second app. If an assistant or a team shares the inbox, every person is another seat. And if what you need is fewer emails landing on you, not faster typing, a faster client solves the wrong problem.
If the real time sink is scheduling, chasing calendars and booking meetings rather than writing replies, an AI office assistant that books meetings for you usually saves more hours than a new inbox app.
A cheaper option that works inside Gmail and Outlook
InboxManager takes a different approach to the same problem. Instead of replacing your email app, it works on your mailbox, so the results appear in Gmail and Outlook on every device. New mail is sorted into five lanes, long threads get a short summary and reply drafts written in your voice wait in your Drafts folder. Nothing is ever sent without you.
| What you pay for | Superhuman | InboxManager |
|---|---|---|
| One person, billed yearly | 25 USD Starter, 33 USD Business | 24 USD Starter, owner plus an assistant |
| Five people, billed yearly | 125 USD Starter, 165 USD Business | 74 USD Plus, total for the workspace |
| Reply drafts before you open a thread | Business and Enterprise | Every plan |
| Where you read mail | The Superhuman app | Your own Gmail or Outlook |
| Shared inbox for info@ or support@ | Not a core feature | From Plus, two shared inboxes |
The full comparison, including when Superhuman is still the better choice, is on our Superhuman alternative page. For a team, workspace pricing usually means paying less than half. See every plan and its monthly limits on the InboxManager pricing page.
Which plan to buy
Work through these questions in order and stop at the first yes.
- You want a faster email app and will answer most mail yourself, but do not need drafts written in advance? Superhuman Starter.
- You want Superhuman with Auto Drafts or a HubSpot or Salesforce sidebar? Superhuman Business.
- You need SSO and admin controls for a large company? Ask both Superhuman and InboxManager for Enterprise terms.
- You want to stay in Gmail or Outlook, share the inbox with an assistant or a team, or keep the bill flat as the team grows? A workspace-priced assistant such as InboxManager.

How much does Superhuman cost?
Superhuman Mail costs 30 USD per member a month on Starter and 40 USD on Business, or 300 USD and 396 USD a year when billed yearly. That is about 25 USD and 33 USD a month. Enterprise pricing is custom and adds SSO, advanced security and dedicated support.
Is there a free version of Superhuman?
No, Superhuman Mail has no free plan. The Superhuman suite has a free tier and a Pro tier, but both cover Grammarly, Docs and Go rather than email. To use Superhuman Mail you need Starter, Business or Enterprise, each billed per member.
Why is Superhuman so expensive?
Superhuman charges for a premium, fast email client with its own apps on desktop, web and phone, AI writing and a heavy focus on speed. The price is per member, so it feels steep for teams, and the Business plan bundles Grammarly and Docs whether you use them or not.
Is Superhuman cheaper billed yearly?
Yes. Paying yearly brings Starter from 30 USD to about 25 USD a month and Business from 40 USD to about 33 USD a month, a saving of roughly 17 percent. You pay the full year up front, 300 USD or 396 USD per member.
What is the cheapest alternative to Superhuman?
For one person, InboxManager Starter is 24 USD a month billed yearly and includes an assistant seat. For a team, InboxManager Plus covers up to five people for 74 USD a month billed yearly, against about 165 USD for five Superhuman Business seats.
